Tasty, crunchy and sweet but light at the same time. We could eat them all the same day. Almost impossible to stop when you start. They are easy to make and they will please everyone I swear! Being stuck home made me try a lot of stuff I never tried before. The global crisis we’re facing right now makes me feel like I need to be comforted and there is no better way for me, to bring a bit of joy, happiness and feeling of lightness than cooking some good recipes. It works all the time! As I miss Bordeaux really bad these days, and because it will probably take quite a long time before we can return, I decided to bake something that will bring me back in France. How can we not fall for those lovely little fish-shaped waffles? Almost impossible. They make me feel like a child again and I love it! Of course, you can have ordinary waffles and top them with whatever you want, but taking a bite in a Taiyaki filled with melted chocolate beats everything! Yep! I’m a baby girl! HAHAHA!!! And you know what’s the best news here? You don’t have to stop at chocolate, you can fill your little Taiyakis with anything you want. How great is this!!!

I must say I’m not the one who usually like the “not London dry style” when it comes to gin, but in this case, the ingredients line up really teased me. I think the word “tease” fits perfectly the mood here since X-Gin self-proclaimed themselves an aphrodisiac gin. Well, I don’t know about that yet but the cocoa and vanilla in the mix, added to the marketing of the aphrodisiac property make of this gin, on top of being delicious, the perfect Valentine’s day gift. Don’t you think?
